Happy, Happy New Year's MawMaw!! I miss you so very much and it is just awful without you here with us all. I always dreaded the day you would leave and it gets worse as the days go by. The day you left, I lost my heart, my soul, and a majority of my mind. I try to keep going but it is almost impossible for me to do so! I wish you were to celebrate the new year with us!! As you always said to me---- I love you always, forever!

My condolences to all the Abernathy family, in the loss of your precious Mother. I remember her as a very sweet lady, who loved her family very much. Most of you will not know who I am. My name is Judy (Robertson)Green, and I was born in Gadsden and lived there until I was 15, when I moved with my parents and brother to Oklahoma. Lavon was my best friend! We shared so many happy times together. She will probably remember me as Cookie, a nickname I carry to this day. I have often thought about her, and of course lost track of her over these many years. I decided to search for her on Facebook, and came across the obituary for Mary, where Lavon is listed. I would love to get in contact with her, and catch up. I now live in Tennessee, just north of Chattanooga. If by chance some of you read this, please have her look me up on Facebook. Thank you, and again, my sympathy for your loss. I lost my Mom in 1998, at the age of 89.

I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you , Aunt Maggie ; I hope you will forgive me . You've always been in my heart , Aunt Maggie , and you always will be ...
