HICKORY-Mary Huffman Adams, 61, passed away on Saturday September 11 th 2010, at Catawba Valley Medical Center after a battle with cancer.
Mary was born June 14th, 1949 in Catawba Co. to the late Dalton Whitener and Dixie Hicks Huffman Teague.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her step-father Kenneth Teague.
She was a member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church and formerly employed with Marlowe Furniture.
The family would like to especially thank Catawba Valley Medical Center, Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley and Carolina Oncology for the special care they gave to Mary.
Surviving are her husband, Donald W. Adams of the home, two brothers, Kenneth Teague Jr. of Hickory, Wilburn Huffman of Hickory and a sister, Peggy Herring of Hickory.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 14th 2010, at Mountain Grove Baptist Church in Mt. View with Reverends Craig Richardson and Larry Winebarger officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday September 13th 2010 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
At other times the family will be at the residence of Ken and Debbie Teague, 4621 South NC. 127 Hwy, Hickory, NC 28602.

So sorry to here of Mary's passing but now she is resting and the pain is gone which for Mary has been a long time. As Christians death is not the end but the beginning. Our prayers are with you that each day will get easier without her. May God Bless!
