Obituary

Mary S. Adams 93, of Denver. Preceded in death by husband Marvin, daughter Phyllis and daughter-in-law Betsey. Loving Mother of Gary, Wayne, Sr. (Eva), Cindy Garone, grandmother of Wayne, Jr., Christopher, Jasilyn (Gabe) Kendall and Michael (Missy) Garone. Great Grandmother of Hollan, Corin, Kaden and Chaney Kendall, and Arabella and Logan Garone. Mary was born of Russian immigrants who settled in Frederick, Colorado. She graduated in 1938 in a class of 18. Mary was one of two cheerleaders, the other being a male student. Loving Mother of Gary, Wayne, Sr. (Eva), Cindy Garone, grandmother of Wayne, Jr., Christopher, Jasilyn (Gabe) Kendall and Michael (Missy) Garone. Great Grandmother of Hollan, Corin, Kaden and Chaney Kendall, and Arabella and Logan Garone. Mary was born of Russian immigrants who settled in Frederick, Colorado. She graduated in 1938 in a class of 18. Mary was one of two cheerleaders, the other being a male student. Mary was loved and adored by her surviving sister Eileen Masonier (Hank) of Lakewood, brother Jimmy Simmons of Panama City, Florida, sister-in-law Marian Simmons of Longmont and many nieces and nephews. Mary was blessed to have a wonderful caregiver for the past 2 years, Debbie Nelson, who loved her dearly, and Salima Zenati prior to Debbie. Both caregivers grew to love her and she loved them. She lived a full, wonderful,. happy life and always enjoyed entertaining as well as sewing (she was an excellent seamstress), crocheting and reading. She also loved to bowl and was on a bowling league (200 average), golf, read and have family members visit. Mary was a great friend to many co-workers at Gates Factory Stores, most of whom she has survived. She was the absolute best Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend anyone could ever have. Mary, our Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Aunt, Sister and Friend, will be dearly missed, but will remain in our hearts and memories for eternity. Viewing will be held at Moore Howard Chapel, 4345 W. 46th Avenue, Denver, C) 80212, viewing from 9:30-11 am, service at 11:00 am, committal at Ft. Logan National Cemetary in Staging Area "C" at 1:15 pm. Reception to follow at Mary's home at 1290 South Garfield Street, Denver, CO 80210.
