Dear Ron, Stanley, Kay and Sean,
You, Flo and your dad were our next door neighbors in
Raleigh, Tn, when you and my two, Travis and Joanna, were small. Your mom was one of my dearest Memphis friends. I have some pics of 'Kay Kay' and Trav, also some of Flo, from 'way back.' Flo and I lost touch with each other, after we moved to Fl (now in Nashville, Tn). Lots of changes for us all. However, I always thought of and remembered Flo, with affection. Wanted to contact, over the years but lost the way to find her. I'd love to hear from one or all, about your mom, these last years. I hope she was happy and well, until whatever her illness, took her. She and I antiqued/collected. She got me started collecting my still treasured Blue Salt Glaze. She worked with a mutual friend, Meg Graves (Mable Cannon, as your mom knew her) as interior decorator for Sears. It was 'Meg' who told me of your mom's death. Her cousin, Ricka
saw her notice, in the Commercial Appeal. We three had spoken of and missed your mom, over the years. Flo and I shared and enjoyed being neighbors and friends.
Do any of you remember the Keltners, next door? Our home faced Powers Road and backed up to your home. I'm so sorry for your loss, Marty (once-Keltner) Elliott

Dear Ron, Stanley, Kay and Sean,
I've been thinking of you all and most especially Aunt Flo. I have been doing some geneology and re-doing Dad's photo album/memory book and have been lingering over photos of Aunt Flo as a girl, when she was dating your Dad. We have some wonderful photos and many happy memories of family vacations in Albany when we all were together...playing Monopoly games for days. I remember meeting Aunt Flo for the first time when my mother, Mary, and I visited Albany for the first time after she and Dad were married. Aunt Flo was a glamorous redhead who laughed easily and was quick to hug any kid that was hanging around (namely me). Mom and she became fast friends and Mom quickly learned that Tump was an expert antique collector with exquisite taste. She and Grandma Burcham were a formidable duo when they were antiquing.
She was a joyful aunt, devoted mother, and doting daughter. As Bill said, her infamous sausage cheese balls make an annual appearance during the holidays and have become lore on our side of the family. We will always remember her.
Dad and I send our heartfelt condolences and love to you all.

The Portland Burchams all had a nice talk this morning remembering (and learning about) Aunt Flo. We also talked with (her brother) Bill in Tucson and shared some good memories.
One particular memory is of Christmas in Albany, Kentucky in 1971 or so when the Addisons and Arizona Burchams all met up at (her parents) George and Blanche's home. We have a picture of Sean and Bill on Santa's knee from that year. Bill remembers Aunt Flo's Bisquick sausage cheese balls still hot, and building a show fort with Sean.
Aunt Flow was a beautiful person with more than her fair share of class. I am very happy to have known her.
With Love,
Bill Burcham Jr.
