Mary Ann Alexander, 65, went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2011. She was born on December 1, 1945 in Johnson County, North Carolina to the late Johnny E. and Mary M. Stallings. Mary Ann was a very giving and caring person and was deeply devoted to her family. She enjoyed raising plants and shopping. She was a member of Virginia Beach Freewill Baptist Church and also attended Our Father's House in South Mills, NC. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband's, James Pulley and David Alexander.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Eddie Pulley and wife Ellen of Augusta, GA, Kimberly Pender and husband Raymond of Newport, NC, Todd Pulley and wife Beverly of Hertford, NC; her beloved grandchildren, Gerry Williamson and wife Ann, Kevin Williamson, Lisa Mason and husband Brandon, Jimmy Pulley, Crystal and Amanda Pulley; great-grandchildren, Stephanie and James Williamson as well as a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM in Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road in Virginia Beach. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 5:00 PM in the funeral home by Evangelist, Joe Jackson. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations be made to your favorite church or the American Cancer Society, 4416 Expressway Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23452 in Mary's name.
