Mary Loretta Allen, 91, passed away October 15, 2011 in Houston, Texas.
Born in Riverside on September 2, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Earl E. and Mary L. (Finley) Moore, and had been the wife of the late George A. Allen.
Loretta was a homemaker devoted to her family and enjoyed reading, especially mystery novels.
She is survived by her sons, George Allen and wife Kathryn of Portsmouth, Earl Allen and wife Gail of Hartland, Maine, and Donald Allen and wife Lauri of Kingwood, Texas. She was predeceased by a son, Steven Allen and daughters, Donna MacFarlane and Rosemary McNulty. She leaves 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Arlene Rose.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 11-12 noon in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a service in St. Ann Cemetery Chapel, Cranston. www.pontarellimarinofunerals.com
