Mary B. Anderson, 78 , lost her battle with brain cancer, Friday, July 22, 2011, in her Carrollton home with family by her side. Today we rejoice in the knowledge that she has passed the barrier of time as we know it, and is forever at home with the Savior she faithfully served. Mary understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Mary was born August 26, 1932, in Birmingham, Alabama to Russell and Mamie (Allison) Burden. Today we rejoice in the knowledge that she has passed the barrier of time as we know it, and is forever at home with the Savior she faithfully served. Mary understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.

Mary was born August 26, 1932, in Birmingham, Alabama to Russell and Mamie (Allison) Burden.

She married her best friend and soul-mate, Malcolm 'Mac' Anderson, September 29,1951 in Pell City, Alabama. They would be celebrating their 60th anniversary this year. A true love story to all who witnessed their love.

Mary enjoyed traveling the world and spending time with family and friends in her Carrollton home as well as at her lake house in Alba, TX where there was fishing, food, and fun.

Surviving along with her husband, Mac, is her brother Russell Burden Jr., two sons and their spouses; Walter & Jan Anderson Jr., David & Jeniece Anderson; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; Marla & David Yonis and their son Riley, David Anderson Jr. and Kendl Anderson; along with many other family including her two nieces and nephew and their spouses; Resa & Udean Dillon, Connie & Joe Free, and Mickey & Margaret Limbaugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A vistiation with friends and family will begin at 5:00 pm on Sunday, July 24th, at Sparkman Funeral Home in Richardson. Funeral service for Mary will be held at Sparkman Funeral Home on Monday, July 25th at 1:00 pm followed by burial at Restland Memorial Park, Garden of Faith. Pastor Delbert White will officiate the service.
