Mary was born April 4, 1923 in Saludecio, Italy, the daughter of the late Joseph and Assunta (Bernardi) Tenti.
She was predeceased by her husband, James, on January 2, 1998.

She is survived by her daughters, Anita Louise Bianco and Diane Bianco Johnson; grandchildren, Bill (Stacey) Legg, Sean (Tammy) Legg, Cassandra Legg (Will Mix), Holly (Dan) Weed, Jesse (Jasmin) Johnson, Melissa Legg; great-grandchildren, Kaileigh, Bretlyn, Rebecca, Mackenzie and Sarah Legg, Carly Arnold, Jeremy Johnson, Grace and Lillian Weed. She is also survived by brother and sister-in-laws: Joseph and Evelyn Bianco, Frank and Carol Bianco, Mildred Bianco; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary lived a very full life. She attended Union Endicott High School. After marrying and moving to Watkins Glen, she cared for her husband's siblings, her own children and worked 21 years at Akzo Nobel Salt Company, retiring in 1986. A busy lady, she enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and sewing. Mary and Jim loved playing cards and traveling with family and friends. Most of all, Mary cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and watching them at their different events. She was a member of the St. Mary's Guild and V.F.W Ladies Auxiliary. Most recently, Mary was thankful for her extended family at Seneca View Skilled Nursing and the activities and care provided by the wonderful staff.

Family and friends may call on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Haughey-Wood Funeral Home, 119 Fifth St., Watkins Glen, NY.
