Mary Beth Boyd was born June 1, 1926, in Reading, Kansas, to the union of Joseph Lawrence and Ella Torrence; and passed away January 17, 2013, in Pueblo. Preceded in death by loving husband of 43 years, George; parents; sisters, Pat, Muriel, Bertha and Bernie; and brother, Robert. She is survived by her loving son, Tim; sister-in-law, Mitzi Torrence; childhood friends, Lucy, Eva and Wiladee; close friends, Rudeel Smith, Ruthann Gillispie, Annette Boyd and Karen Carey. Mary Beth and her sisters, Pat and Bertha "Bug", performed Trick Riding and Trick Roping. Mary Beth performed for the U.S.O. during World War II. She worked as an inspector at Dana Corporation. She loved all of God's creatures. "If the animals are valuable to God, then the animals should be valuable to us"- per Mary Beth. In lieu of sympathy cards, flowers or food, please open your heart and home to a homeless animal. If you are unable to do so, pleases donate time or memorial contributions to a local animal shelter. The family would like to thank the Pavilion Staff for their loving care of Mary Beth. She was so giving to ALL including me in times of need, when my son was in the Burn Unit. Always a loving Sister to my Mom Pat, calling and corresponding with her.
