Mary Ethel Branch, 85, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at her home at Lake of the Ozarks. She was born January 10, 1926, the daughter of Walter Lee and Mildred Edna Boldwin.
She was united in marriage to Garfield Branch on October 23, 1945. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1984.
Mary is survived by one daughter, Becky Heckemeyer and her husband Dennis; three granddaughters, Christy Heckemeyer, Becky Oleson and Ardita Roark; two grandsons, Richard Heckemeyer and Greg Heckemeyer; nine great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Ruth Marsch.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marjorie Faye Branch; three brothers, Cecil Thomas Boldwin, Owen Lee Boldwin, and James David Boldwin; one sister Mildred Laure Vaught; and one nephew, Kenneth Ray Vaught.
Mary was a member of the Lion's Club and the VFW Auxiliary. She was a volunteer for the Adopt The Shoreline of Lake of the Ozarks.
She retired from Fulton State Hospital after 32 years of employment. She worked for Fulton Public Schools as a bus driver and at Eldon R-I Transportation Department for 14 years. She drove for SERVE for 3 years.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, July 1 at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit with Murl Nash officiating. Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery in Holts Summit. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation in Mary's name be made to Lion's Club of Rocky Mount, c/o Debo Funeral Home, PO Box 314, Holts Summit, Mo., 65043.
