BRESCIA, Mary J. 91, of Orleans and formerly of Sudbury, passed away on July 7, 2014. She was the caring wife of the late Philip M. Brescia, with whom they shared 31 years together. She will be greatly missed by her devoted son Philip Brescia, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Bolton and her beloved daughter Janet Flint and her husband Peter of Orleans. She was the dear sister of the late Rose Vassalotti, Rosalee Rizzo, and Angelo Falzone. She will always be treasured by her cherished grandchildren Peter Flint, Jr., Craig B. Flint, Amy Brescia, and her great-grandson Colton Flint as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary was the happiest when surrounded by her family and her daily Patriots and Red Sox discussion with her son. The family would like to gracefully thank Elder Services of Cape Cod for all their caring support in the past few years.A gathering will be held at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans on Friday, July 11, from 9:30 - 10:00 AM with a service beginning at 10:00 AM. Family and friends are welcome to join us for Mary's burial at the Lexington Road Cemetery, Lincoln, MA at 2:00 PM.

My thoughts are with you and your family in the loss of your mother. Mine was 91 when she passed away also. We were blessed to have them for so long, but that still doesn't make it easy to say goodbye.
