Mary Dominguez Sanchez Escalante was born on September 10, 1942 and passed away on April 22, 2012. Mary passed away peacefully, in her home. She lost her battle with multiple myeloma cancer (bone & bone marrow). She was a native resident of Yuma, AZ all her life. She is the only child of Margaret "Mague" D. Alvarez and Adislado "Lalo" Sanchez. She graduated from Yuma High School and AWC and rreceived her Associates Degree in Business Management. She lost her battle with multiple myeloma cancer (bone & bone marrow). She was a native resident of Yuma, AZ all her life. She is the only child of Margaret "Mague" D. Alvarez and Adislado "Lalo" Sanchez. She graduated from Yuma High School and AWC and rreceived her Associates Degree in Business Management.

Her accomplishments in the work field were many and she took pride each time she entered a new position. She worked in the Agricultural; a Teller at Valley National Bank; Distributor for Tupperware,Shaklee, Market America and Amway. She was also a Liaison for Kofa High School Chapter 1 Program. During her employment at these various positions, she had an idea that she could become self-employedand named it "Income Tax by Mary" as well as a Notary Public. While she was self-employed, she also worked at Quechan Paradise Casino as a VIP Booth Representative.

Mary was an active member of her church, First Assemblies of God. When she attended Templo Bethel Assambleas de Dios, she was the primary organizer for Vacation Bible School for 3 seasons and was very involved in the music. Her family provided the music and she was a solo singer at various times.

She was married in 1964 and divorced in 1986. In 1988 she married Alonzo C. Escalante (Honeybun) until his passing in 2008.

She is survived by her five children, eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four half-brothers and one half-sister, and her cousin (Mary and her cousin are the last of their generation).

Funeral (Celebration of Life) Services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at First Assemblies of God Church,
3000 S. Ave.B, Yuma,AZ. Private Burial Ceremony for family members will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 10:30 am., Johnson Mortuary in the Garden Area.

Donations will greatly be accepted on behalf of the Jimenez family, whether it is food, monetary, flowers or any other donation. Thank you on behalf of the entire family.
