Born on August 16, 1927 in Mendota, CA and passed on January 17, 2013 in Sacramento, CA. Mary was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, & Great-Great Grandmother. She was preceded in death by husband of 41 years, Tony Garcia Sr. She is survived by her children Tony (Joanne), Dave, Dan (Lynda) and Debbie Garcia. 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
As well as being an excellent home maker, she was a Den Mother. Mary was an avid golfer belonging to three different clubs, Lindale Niners, Land Park, and Riverbend. She hit a hole in one at Bing Maloney Executive Course on the 1st hole with her 4 iron. She loved to work in her garden. She belonged to St. Joseph's Mr. & Mrs. Club in Clarksburg. She volunteered at Sacramento Food Bank, Loaves and Fishes, and was a volunteer at Methodist Hospital in Sacramento for over 21 years. She loved to travel, had a great love of music and could always be found on the dance floor. She will be sorely missed by family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 4-7pm with a Rosary at 6:00 pm at Harry A. Nauman & Son, 4041 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Parish, 32890 South River Rd., Clarksburg. Burial immediately after at St. Mary's Cemetery.
