Ms. Mary Lord Green Kimbell, 96 passed away Tuesday night, December 20, 2011. Funeral services for Ms. Kimbell will be held Thursday, December 22 at the chapel of Marie Baptist Church at 2 P.M. with the Reverend Bobby Hutto and Rev. Robert Rogers officiating. She was the oldest member of Marie Baptist Church. Internment will follow at Northview Cemetery. Ms. Kimbell's visitation will be held from 1P.M. until the time of service at Marie Baptist Church Thursday. Ms. Kimbell was the daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Ouida Orr Lord. Ms. Mary Lord Green Kimbell, 96 passed away Tuesday night, December 20, 2011.

Ms. Kimbell was the daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Ouida Orr Lord. She was preceded in death by 2 husbands Prentis Green Sr. and A.E. (Bud) Kimbell, and her only child Prentis Wright Green Jr. and one brother Clayton Lord.
Most of her life she was a residence of Laurens County.

Ms. Kimbell worked as a waitress including Ma Hawkins restaurant for many years prior to owning and operating the Brer Rabbit Restaurant. After leaving the restaurant business she was employed by the VA from which she retired in 1977.
She is survived by her daughter in law Jetta (Tony) Andrews, Two granddaughters Mary Elizabeth (Betsy) Green of Dublin and Sherry Anne Green of Newnan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and other family members and a loving caretaker Estalida Spivey.

Pallbearers will be James Lord, Wendell Lord, Earl Lord, Jeff Lord, Clay Lord, Robert Earl Lord, Rusty Branch, Cory Dean, Andy Kimbell & Al Kimbell.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Laurens County 205 North Franklin St. Dublin, Ga. 31021 in honor of her memory.
