OSKEE WEE WEE
Mary Kuzyk was born in Klusov, Czechoslovakia on July 22, 1925 to parents Mary and Jon Zolnircik. She came to Canada with her mother to be with her father, who at that time ran a small store in the North end of Hamilton conveniently named "The Corner Store". Mary met and married William and they had three children. Two years after Mary came to Canada her father passed away and Mary took over running the store for him. She worked hard as was the nature of those who lived through the Depression. Mary loved her children dearly and did her best to make a wonderful home for them. There was always food on the table, cooking like she was feeding an army. You never left the table feeling hungry. Mary much like her mother before her was small in stature. However, that didn't stop her from doing whatever she wanted and living life to the fullest. She was small and feisty. Little and mighty. Nothing could stop her. When her husband passed in 1995 she began full time attendance at the Hamilton Tiger Cats games alongside her son Andy. She was always a cheerleader. She could be heard cheering, "Go Cats Go, Kick 'Em Butts Argo", in her broken English. She was saddened two years ago when her breathing became an issue and she could no longer attend the games, but her allegiance to the Hamilton Tiger Cats continued until her passing. Mary was a precious, loving, feisty, beautiful lady who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She left a lasting impression on all those she met. She will be looking down on Sunday cheering on her favorite team. Oskee Wee-Wee. Go Cats Go!
