Betty LaPointe was my father Pius' sister. Our Aunt Betty and Uncle Eugene were wonderful to our family when we went to Dalhousie, New Brunswick every summer as youngsters. Especially my sister Cindy and myself (Brenda) - we spent most of our vacation with their daughter/our cousin Donna LaPointe, and were at their house a lot. We spent many nights there, and Betty was always so welcoming and was constantly in the kitchen cooking up a storm. The memories that stand out the most for me are how easily and enthusiastically she laughed, and especially her sayings and exclamations she used like "MERCIFUL HEAVENS!!!" (laughing loudly). I can still hear her saying that and laughing.... she seems invincible to me, this is really hard to believe. Rest in peace! What a wonderful person, and she and Eugene raised a wonderful family. You will be missed by many.
