96, of Upland passed away on July 17, 2012 at Rancho Mesa Care Center, Alta Loma. She was born October 19, 1915 in Jalisco, Mexico and lived in Upland all her life. Mary is survived by 1 daughter-Mona Phillipson, Rancho Cucamonga; 2 sons-Joe Robert Medel, Glendale; John David Medel, Crestline; 3 siblings-Pete Valadez, Upland; Claudia Smith, Pasadena; Lola Amanti, Los Angeles; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grand- children and 1 great great grandson. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m Tuesday (7/24) with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Stone Funeral Home, Upland. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (7/25) at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Upland.
