Obituary

Mary Candelaria Talavera, 81, of Wichita Falls died peacefully at her home Wednesday June 15, 2011. Services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Maurine Street Solid Rock House of God Church officiated by Reverend David Sapata and Reverend Linda Marcum. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park directed by Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Mary was born February 2, 1930 in Midland, TX to Nicanor and Santos (Nunez) Hernandez. When she was younger she was a member of the NCO Club. She also enjoyed singing in her church choir at First Mexican Baptist Church. Mary was an honest and hardworking woman....
Mary Candelaria Talavera, 81, of Wichita Falls died peacefully at her home Wednesday June 15, 2011. Mary was born February 2, 1930 in Midland, TX to Nicanor and Santos (Nunez) Hernandez. When she was younger she was a member of the NCO Club. She also enjoyed singing in her church choir at First Mexican Baptist Church. Mary was an honest and hardworking woman. She loved to watch TV, and cherished her animals especially her beloved pet Chihuahua, Baby.

Mrs. Talavera is preceded in death by four children, Arthur Arredondo, Tony Arredondo, Mary Helen Arredondo, Edward Arredondo, Jr.; and sister, Perfida Carrizales.

Survivors include her daughter, Amelia Talavera Carrera; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Emma Stanczyk all of Wichita Falls; brother, and sister-in-law, Eli Junior and Angie Harris of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

If desired, memorials may be made to Disabled American Vets.
