That best portion of a good man's life, His little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love. - William Wordsworth

Maryann DeBonis Beatty, passed away as she slept on July 16th, 2014 at the age of 57 in her home in Palm Bay, Florida. She was born in Maspeth, NY to Eleanor and Alfonso DeBonis and was raised with her five siblings. Known to be an adventurous tomboy as a child, she continued to be a free spirit into adulthood. Maryann recognized that she and her siblings were all very different but still flowers from the same garden, and had an immense love for them. She traveled and created a life for herself on both coasts. During this time, she gave birth to three children: Nicole, Daniel, and Claudio. She was known to be a caring soul that felt a deep sense of love and compassion toward her relatives and those she selected to be a part of her family. Moreover, despite her modest means and lifestyle, Maryann always chose to help those less fortunate than her. She faced tremendous hardship and adversity in life; however, Maryann chose a lofty path and instead showered the world with affection and sincerity.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor DeBonis; her brother, Alfonso S. DeBonis; ,and the father of her sons, Jesus (Willie) Monar. She is survived by her father, Alfonso J. DeBonis; daughter, Nicole Edgley; twin sons, Daniel and Claudio Monar; granddaughter, Mia Nikole; grandson, Ryan James; sisters ,Theresa DeBonis and Frances Sorrentino; brothers, Stephen and Thomas DeBonis; seven nephews; four nieces; four great nephews; one great niece; and a very large extended family. We love you Maryann, and you will be missed.
