Mrs. Maureen A. Cotton, 93, passed away on July 14, 2012. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus with Rev. Kerry Davis officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
Mrs. Cotton was born on March 21, 1919 in Millerville, AL to the late Corbett and Minnie Humphrey. She was a member of Eastside Assembly of God. Mrs. Cotton was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil C. Cotton and a great-grandson, Jonathan Davis.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Davis (Frank) of Griffin, GA; her son, Billy Cotton of Senoia, GA; five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Sara Richardson of Flint, Michigan and Barbara Sewell of Nashville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
