Maurice E. "Bud" Tischendorf, Jr., 77, of Louisville passed away Wenesday, May 9, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. He was born November 17, 1934 in Louisville, the son of Maurice and Georgia Albert Tischendorf, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha, Carolyn and Ethel; two brothers, Donald and Leroy. Bud was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He had worked as an Insulator with Local #51, and was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, American Legion and Local #51 Insulators. He was born November 17, 1934 in Louisville, the son of Maurice and Georgia Albert Tischendorf, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha, Carolyn and Ethel; two brothers, Donald and Leroy.
Bud was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He had worked as an Insulator with Local #51, and was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, American Legion and Local #51 Insulators.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Jo Tischendorf; one son, Michael Dale Tischendorf (Lauri); one granddaughter, Brittany Tischendorf; one brother, Richard Tischendorf and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 9:30 AM on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1395 Girard Dr. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM on Friday at Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd.
