Frances Maxine Armstrong, 87, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. She was born September 25, 1923, to Allen and Eunice Voyles Smith. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Booneville. She enjoyed cooking, for her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing bridge and working in her yard.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 4, 2010, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Lynn Jones officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Armstrong and his wife, Sharon of Jackson, MS; two grandchildren, Matt Armstrong and Emily Armstrong; three nieces; and two nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Luther M. Armstrong, Jr.; her parents, one sister, Virginia Sanders; and one brother, Leon Smith.
Pallbearers are Matt Armstrong, Ricky Stockton, Tony Smith, and Duran Barnes.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 401 West Church Street, Booneville, MS 38829 or the American Lung Asociation, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.

Jimmy, So sorry to hear of that precious Maxine's death. Mother and I really loved her!! She was such a good neighbor to Mother. We will never forget her! Blessings to you and your family.
