Max and Carolyn are good people, we went to church with them for several years. Max was good hearted and a good Christian. He will surely be missed.

Max Wilson became a household name around my house growing up, Dad would always tell us of the times he and Max did this or that when they were growing up. Rolling tires down the hills of Pickens, getting caught on that one!
Riding bikes, being in the Air Force really young but proud to serve.
When I was up at Clemson Mr. & Mrs. Wilson opened their doors to a starved for family dinners student!
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with y'all during this time. You know Max & Ward are rolling tires down the clouds in heaven!

Max teased me to his dying day about me calling him mean old Mr. Wilson. I was a timid child and I guess it was his gruff voice that scared me sometimes. I knew he loved me, it was just our personal joke. My kids took to Max from a very young age. My fondest memory is when Max and Carolyn babysat for Joey, my son when my papa passed away. I came in to the Wilson's home and Joey was asleep in Max's arms. Joey never slept good for anyone. It's memories like this that I will always cherish. I'll miss his wisdom and guidance, but what a legacy he has left.

A good family has lost a good man. We're born into this world with an earthly cocoon, as is a butterfly. Then we are reborn and shed that cocoon as does a butterfly. Max Wilson soared to heaven not as a butterfly, but as an eagle.

I've lost a good friend. Max has gained eternity.

My dad was a valiant man, a "man's man", and I am a better man for it. I will always appreciate the things he taught me both by his spoken word and his actions, the time and effort he selflessly invested in our family, and the undaunted courage he demonstrated in life. I will always treasure the times I had talking and working with him. He was not only my father and a great man, he was my friend, and I will forever be indebted to him for that. Thank you, Dad. I love you, and I will miss you. Your son, Keith

My thoughts and prayers are with you Carolyn and family and friends. I will miss talking and laughing with Max but I think the LORD was ready to have him in heaven. I am thankful for all the fun times we were able to share together. I will never forget his birthday or his words of wisdom. I truly believe Max will hear well done my good and faithful servant! What a celebration they must be having there in heaven!
