May Cafarelli, 91, of Woodside, New York, passed away September 13, 2017.
She was born in New York City, New York on December 14, 1925.
May graduated from Bryant High School. She was married to Rocco Cafarelli on September 3, 1950 .
May worked for The City of New York as a School Aide at P. S. 70, an elementary school in Astoria N.Y. for more than 30 years.
She was a member of D. C. 37.
May loved cooking, entertaining, and had a soft spot for all of the pets we adopted along the way. She was an accomplished violin player as a child and played in an orchestra at Carnegie Hall. She loved traveling, the theatre, ballroom dancing and was a die-hard Yankees fan. But above all else, her passion was her family!
She was survived by Denise Cafarelli and Regina Cafarelli.
Funeral arrangements will be held on Tuesday, September 19 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm, at Thomas M. Quinn Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 11am at St. Joseph's Church. The Cemetery will be Calvary cemetery.
