Melanie Lynn (Eider) Lindbloom passed away unexpectedly at her home on January 23, 2016.
Melanie was born to Ervin and Myrtle Eider on March 27, 1963, in Duluth, MN. She graduated from Denfeld High School in 1981.
Melanie married Richard Lindbloom on July 27, 1991. In her younger years, she worked as a nurse's aide and waitress. She loved driving taxi cab while living in Chelan, WA for many years. For the last seven years, she has been a child care provider to many children whom she loved very much.
Melanie was an active member at Duluth Gospel Tabernacle. Because of her love of children, she served as a Sunday school teacher, Missionette leader and prayer partner, and had an active role with Vacation Bible School.
Melanie was welcomed into Heaven by her parents Ervin and Myrtle; brothers Dwayne and Dean Eider; sisters Yvonne Eider and Raylene Gilbert; brother-in-law William Gunnarson; niece Brittany Gunnarson; father-in-law Norman Lindbloom and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of nearly 25 years Richard; sisters Dianne Eider and Karyl Gunnarson; sisters-in-law Kimberly (Frank) Moncrief, Debbie Eider, Tracy Hunter and Diann Plumber; mother-in-law Lori Norris; nieces and nephews Cassandra Eider, Samara (Josh) Roberts, Denise (Brent) Peterson, Desiree (Darrell) Weets, Stacey (Kevin) Casterline, Jake (Beth) Eider, Cory (Judy) Eider, Kristopher Eider, Elizabeth (Myron) Smieja, Billy (Jessica) Gunnarson and Tamika Gilbert; 13 great nieces and nephews and two more on the way; many cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family & friends and her furry friends Yogi, Daisy, Daffy, Princess and Riley.
Visitation 6-8 pm Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Bell Brothers Funeral Home, 601 N. 56th Ave. W.,Duluth. Visitation will continue from 1 pm until the 2 pm Funeral Service Friday, January 29, 2016 at Duluth Gospel Tabernacle, 1515 W. Superior Street, Duluth. Inurnment will be in Oneota Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Melanie was a fellow schoolmate. We met again many years later through her niece and my friend Tamika. My puppy Vivian came from Rich and Melanie. I will think of her each time I look at my Vivian.
