Melba had many enjoyable experiences in life including playing on the basketball team that went to the 1951 state championship game. She also sang in the chorus at the Seagoville Church of Christ for many years where she was a member from her childhood.

Melba Prestridge was the first person to visit my family when we moved to Seagoville in Jan. 1950.
She lived on Jack St. and we lived behind her on Judy Lane. I always remembered her kindness in welcoming us. Mary Chambers Ashley and family
