Melinda Gayle Friend, 51, passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, November 26, 2016. Melinda is the daughter of the late Theodore Carroll.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Wanda Cales, her loving husband of 32 years Edward "Rick" Friend, daughter Kathleen Gordon (Jay), son Jonathan Friend, and two stepdaughters Julie Wiggington (Mark), and Ginger Kidwell.
Melinda also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Brooklyn, Lacey, Haley, Brielle, Stella and Wesley and a host of friends and family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday 2pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 4pm-8pm and Wednesday after 11am until the time of the funeral service.
