Obituary

Melvin C. Gale, age 82, of Blaine, passed away at Unity Hospital in Fridley on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Upon his return, he began working at Honeywell. Mel retired in 1988 after 37 years of working in the tool department. Mel enjoyed gardening, fishing, and cheering for the Gopher football team. He was an excellent cook and baker, and was known for his canned goods, especially jelly.

He will be greatly missed by his sister, Carol (William) Luadtke of Northome, MN; special friend, Larry Ludwig of Monticello, MN and his family; numerous nieces, nephews and their families; and his canine companion, Max.

A funeral service will be held for Melvin at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 19th at Sunset Chapel, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow in the cemetery.
