Merrilee Ruth (nee Morschauser) and known to all as Lee, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on April 11, 2012. Raised in the Bronx, Lee attended St. Helena High School. She lived for 20 years in Montvale and for the last 15 years in Mahwah. She worked for many years in the EOF and the Health Services offices at Ramapo College, where she was beloved by students, faculty and staff alike for her incredible sense of humor, inspirational outlook and surprising rebellious streak. She lived for 20 years in Montvale and for the last 15 years in Mahwah. Lee overcame huge emotional and physical obstacles to become an amazing mother, friend, role model and hero to her children, friends and all those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her three children, Ian Scott and his wife Stephanie Scott of River Vale, Kieran Viola and her husband Matthew Viola of River Vale, and Erin Scott of Mahwah, as well as five grandchildren, Peyton, MacKinley and Ava Scott and Brady and William Viola, along with dozens of loving friends and one adopted grandchild, Roxy Menhaji.
