Michael F. Smith, Jr., 36, of Nashua, NH passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 20, 2011 at his residence in Nashua, NH.
He was born in Woburn, MA on May 11, 1975, the son of Michael F. Smith, Sr. and Lisa (Sandholm) Kiesling.
Michael was a lifelong Nashua resident and was educated in the local school system. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, watching movies and making crafts with his children, and was an avid Red Sox and Patriot fan. He enjoyed playing the guitar and writing songs. Michael's greatest love and achievement in life is his children. He enjoyed spending time with them and was very proud of them.
He is predeceased by his son, Ethan Smith in 2010 and his maternal grandfather, Ron Sandholm.
He is survived by his mother; Lisa Kiesling and her husband Kevin of Nashua, his father; Michael Smith Sr. of Nashua; a daughter, Sierra Smith and her mother, Amy Smith of Nashua and daughter Hannah Woodward of Nashua; maternal grandmother Mary Lyons of Burlington, MA, maternal step-grandmother, Luise Sandholm of Westford, MA; step-grandmother, Doris Coderre of Nashua; an Aunt, Kristin Strandberg of Westford, MA; an Uncle, Stephen Sandholm of VT; as well as many other Uncles, Aunts and Cousins.
Calling hours were held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 2 PM to 3:30 PM at ST. LAURENT FUNERAL HOME, 116 ELM STREET, NASHUA, NH 03060. A Funeral Service was celebrated in the Funeral Home at 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael's name to NEUROBLAST THIS, 27 Donna Street, Nashua NH 03060.
