Michael J. Britten, 51, of Barnes passed away Monday, July 8th, 2013, at his home. Michael joined the United States Army March 16, 1981; he served in Germany and received an honorable discharge May 26, 1983.
Michael was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting & fishing.
Those who shared his life are his mother Elaine Britten; four sisters, Sheryl Heath, Shirley Britten, Janice Britten, Sue (Don) Geisdorf; special aunt, Bonnie; many nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, James Britten who passed away in1997.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held at 11:45 am, Friday July 12, 2013 at the Dahl Funeral Home in Spooner. Pastor Scott Ludford will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday July 12, 2013 at the Dahl Funeral Home from 9:45 until the time of service.
Burial will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Wisconsin Military Funeral Honors Program.

I wonder if you realized it.It was Marion who alerted me to this news.I still think of you and your family when i pass the old house in Eau Claire.
