Ive known michael since 6th grade and there hasnt been a day since then that i havent smiled or laughed when i heard him tell me a joke. we talked so much in 8th grade, i remember he was the one who helped me whenever i needed it. he was always smiling and telling me what he wanted to be. i know its been a year without him but i can still hear his voice. i miss him so much, the facetime calls, long talks, and just laughing about the stupid things. it all happened so fast but i know that whoever has gotten his heart, will be an amazing person such as he was. i send out my prayers to his family because i know how hard it is for yall. i just hope you know that your son was truly amazing and im so thankful i had him in my life. he still has a special place in my heart.
Sincerely,
Brooke White

I was Michael's kindergarten teacher in Fluvanna. He was very sick and wasn't able to be with us for the whole year. However, his soul touched me. He used to tell me that that he was going to grow up and be a jedi fighter and protect people. I know that he will be watching over his family and protecting them. I have kept the Christmas gift that he gave me and treasure it. He was a very special guy. Thank you for sharing him. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Michael, We met in math class in 6th grade. You were a good friend. You struggled to breathe in cold air, but you always were strong. I hope you have a good afterlife.

Martinez family,
Words cannot express the sadness I feel for your loss. I had the pleasure of knowing Michael when he attended Moss Nuckols. He was a good friend of my son Isaiah. He was a sweet and generous young man. I pray that you find peace during this time. Our prayers are with you.

Dear Martinez Family,
I just want to let you know how very sorry I am for your loss. Michael was a very special friend to me. I remember one time he was talking to me about what type of hair cut he should get and he said that his mom asked if he wanted her to cut his hair, he said no. He was always making me laugh, I always tell my mom the same-no thank she's not cutting my hair. He was always happy and kind (waiting to walk with me after class). He also had the cutest singing voice. I hope he was able to open his Christmas gifts, he was so excited about his new computer gaming system from Make A Wish. I loved hearing him talk about it b/c it made him so happy. We had all of our classes together; he made so many of my days better. I can't thank you enough for the wonderful son you raised and I thank God for allowing him to hold a special place in my heart. Gone but never forgotten.
