Michael J. Aunce of Stamford, died Sunday, June 17 at Sound Shore
Medical Center in New Rochelle, NY. He was 67. He died after a 9 year
courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born August 15, 1944 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Joseph
and Anna Swiatowicz Aunce. Michael was a graduate of NYU with a M.S.
in electrical engineering. He worked for Pavarini Construction as a MEPS engineer for 15 years.

He was a member of the Ponus Yacht Club.

Michael volunteered at Our Lady Star of the Sea School for Halloween Watch,
painting the school, and building a playground for the children.

He enjoyed fishing with his children, boating, golfing, bowling,
gardening, and most of all, remodeling his home.

Michael is survived by his wife Rita A. Aunce of Stamford, his daughter,
AnnaMarie C. Aunce of Stamford, his son Joseph M. Aunce of Stamford, a
sister Lorraine Aunce Campion of Bristol, CT, and a daughter, Marybeth Aunce Oberndorfer of Glastonbury.

We would like to thank Pavarini Construction/Structure Tone for all of
their love and support during the most difficult time of Michael's
illness. Thank you also for all of the prayers he received from
friends, family, and especially the children of Our Lady Star of the
Sea School.

Because of Michael's great love of education and learning, his wish
was to have an education fund set up for his son, Joseph. If you wish
to donate in lieu of flowers, please send donations to: Joseph Michael
Aunce C/O Jack Faski, 35 Hayward Avenue, Colchester, CT 06415.
Another great love of Michael's was his beautiful garden. So, in his
memory please plant a garden, spend time watching it grow, enjoy the
birds and squirrels as you enjoy your life. Remember, Michael, you
will always be on the greener side of the grass.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 from 4-7 pm at Leo P.
Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT. A mass
of Christian burial will be held Saturday, June 23, at 10 am at St.
