I only met Mike a few times (many, many years ago) through his brother Joe. I heard about the accident back in December but didn't get the name. My heart goes out to all his family.

Sitting here, thinking.. searching for something to say that would express my feelings.. but I can't.. We all (and you know who I am talking about) .. the boys .. this .. group of now middle aged men .. who have lived our lives one adventure after another, with story after story .. one more crazy than the last .. stuff that "normal" people .. well they just don't even believe .. We have all lived our lives to the very fullest and smiled and enjoyed every damn second .. good times and bad ... hell the bad we just found some way to twist into something funny or worth drinking over.. I am just ranting now..But today . I looked around at my friends..and I realized that I would give the shirt off my back to every one of them .. and I know in my heart they would do the same for me or my family... That's the kind of people we All are..
.. Mike .. you have Always made me smile and the truth is I cant remember a time when you didn't.. I heard the phrase in my head over and over today .. "Man Down" .. "Man Down" maybe thinking and wishing that it just wasn't real ..You Mr Buckles will be missed
My very deepest condolences to everyone who actually took the time to read this
