Born September 20, 1924, Settle, Yorkshire, England, died April 9, 2013, age 88, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Survived by his beloved wife Jocelyn (Jo) of 58 years, his sister Rachel Cundall (Geoffrey) of Newcastle - on -Tyne, England and his daughters Elizabeth Cain (Brad), Jennifer (Jamie MacDonald), Rachel Mehltretter (Jeff). Beloved grandfather to Sean, Daniel and Eric Cain, Peter and Margaret MacDonald, David, Karen and Jack Mehltretter. Educated at Bootham School York and Manchester University. Michael served in the Royal Navy from 1943 - 1946. He and Jo emigrated to Canada in 1956 and settled in Galt, Ontario where he worked...

Beloved grandfather to Sean, Daniel and Eric Cain, Peter and Margaret MacDonald, David, Karen and Jack Mehltretter.

Educated at Bootham School York and Manchester University. Michael served in the Royal Navy from 1943 - 1946. He and Jo emigrated to Canada in 1956 and settled in Galt, Ontario where he worked for Galt Brass, Waltec and Lear Siegler Industries. In retirement he pursued his love of photography. Michael was a member of the Galt Rotary Club, the Cambridge Probus Club and was a long time member of the St. John's-on-the Hill United Church community.

Friends and family will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650) on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Life will take place the following day, on Friday, April 12, 2013 at St. John's-on-the Hill United Church, 241 Cedar Street, Cambridge at 1:30 pm.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be directed to St. John's-on-the Hill United Church or the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation.
