Michael Edward Jensen
Age 69
Michael Edward Jensen was born at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA on January 4, 1944 to Edward F. and Ellen (Tandy) Jensen. He entered into rest on March 29, 2013. Michael attended West Valley High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserves. After graduation, Michael went into active duty and accepted his discharge after seven years of service. Michael then entered the glass business and became a glazier and part owner of four local glass companies. Due to poor health, Michael had to retire from the glass business. Michael was a life member of VFW #1435 and served as Commander for almost 2 years. On September 7, 1968, Michael married Margery Smith and together they welcomed two sons, Scott and Kory. Michael is preceded in death by his wife, father and grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Ellen; his sons, Scott (Leah) Jensen, and Kory (Amber) Jensen; four grandchildren, Jacob, TJ, Jamie and Haiden, and three step-grandchildren, Ashlee, Christian and Ethan. He is also survived by his uncle and several cousins. A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10:00am in the Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home Colonial Chapel, 1306 N. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA 99206.
