A longtime Wareham Road resident and former parishioner of Our Lady of Hope Church, Michael J. Naglieri, Sr. passed away on May 25, 2012, at the age of 87. Born and raised in Little Italy, Michael dedicated his entire life to his family and friends. Anyone that ever met him knew he had a passion for cooking and entertaining. After working 47 years for Martin Marietta and serving as President of the UAW Local 738 for 3 years, he and his loving wife Charlene Naglieri enjoyed their retirement traveling to Florida, taking bus trips to Myrtle Beach, and spending time with family. A longtime Wareham Road resident and former parishioner of Our Lady of Hope Church, Michael J. Naglieri, Sr. passed away on May 25, 2012, at the age of 87. Born and raised in Little Italy, Michael dedicated his entire life to his family and friends. Anyone that ever met him knew he had a passion for cooking and entertaining. After working 47 years for Martin Marietta and serving as President of the UAW Local 738 for 3 years, he and his loving wife Charlene Naglieri enjoyed their retirement traveling to Florida, taking bus trips to Myrtle Beach, and spending time with family. Michael was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Bethlehem Council, and a 4th. degree member, and also served many years as President of his local Son's of Italy Chapter. Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Charlene Naglieri; loving father to Sherry and Charles Holt, Michael and Mary Naglieri, Jr., Anthony and Patty Naglieri, Louis and Lillian Naglieri; dear grandfather of Chuck Holt, Dawn Sargent, Michael Naglieri, III, Jennifer Ziegler, Ryan Naglieri, Jonathan Naglieri and Christopher Naglieri and their spouses. Also loving great-grandfather of eleven. Brother of Vince Naglieri, Dora Scheller and the late Nick Naglieri.

Relatives and friends may gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Road, Baltimore MD 21236, on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will held at St. Joseph Church (Fullerton), on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, 9:30 a.m. Interment Holly Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Right at Home (In Home Care), 260 Gateway Dr., Suite 19A, Bel Air MD 21014.
