Michele Denise Edwards was born on September 23,1963 in Los Angeles, California to Barbara and Billy Edwards. With a smiling face and sparkling eyes, she was a sweet addition to the Edwards family . She was educated at Palms Elementary, Paul Revere Jr. and Palisades Sr. High Schools where she had many friends and was well known for her outgoing spirit and sweet disposition. She also attended Santa Monica College where she majored in Business. Michele received Christ as a child and was baptized at Ward African Methodist Episcopal Church under Reverend C Garrett Henning at age 15. She was also a member of the choir. Throughout her life she continued to walk in the spirit of God and kept the light of Christ in her heart. In 2009 Michele re-dedicated her life to Christ by joining First A.M.E. Church in Las Vegas, Nevada under the pastorage of Rev. Dr. Ralph E. Williamson.
Michele was a talented lady, holding retail and administrative positions. She had a magnetic personality and could type at the speed of light. These talents led the way for her to have a job at the Automobile Club, as well as to become one of the youngest executive assistants at the City of Hope in Duarte. Michele also had many other interests and talents including fashion, hair styling and dancing.
Michel had a deep and abiding love for her family and friends. She had a giving heart and a desire to help all in need. Throughout Michele's life's journey she always retained her caring ways and enthusiastic outlook about life. She often said that she had an angel protecting her and that God's light always shined on her.
Michele was blessed with wonderful children who leave a wonderful legacy to her life: Tierra Monet Holland (age 21) who inherited her beauty, giving heart and flare for hair, Leon Willis Knox, Jr (age18), who has her good looks, genuine heart and meticulous neatness, Bierra Michele Knox (age 13) who is gifted with her pretty face, outgoing spirit and magnetic personality, and Ivory Jean Thompson (age 4) received her sweet heart, love of dance and fashion.
Michele was called to heaven on March 1,2010. She leaves to mourn her passing her devoted parent's Barbara and Jimmie Wesley ( Las Vegas, Nevada) and Billy and Carolyne Edwards ( Mission Hills, California). She is also survived by her children: Tierra Holland, Leon Knox Jr., Bierra Knox and Ivory Jean Thompson. Her siblings: Charlotte Marsh, Lisa Johnson, Felecia Wesley, Alesia Wesley , Michael Wesley, Stephen Wesley and Audrey Thompson. She also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, whom she cherished and loved.
