Michelle J, Lipton, age 50, of Lexington on Sunday, April 7, 2013, after a heroic 8.5 year fight with brain cancer. Beloved wife of Michael J. Engelberg. Loving mother of Ally and Isabelle. Cherished daughter of Herbert and Sissie (Slepin) Lipton. Devoted sister of Eric Lipton and Heidi Lipton. Services at Temple Isaiah, 55 Lincoln Street, Lexington, on Tuesday, April 9 at 10:00am. Interment at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Memorial observance at her late residence, immediately following the interment through 6pm and continuing Wednesday & Thursday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances, in memory of Michelle, may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., SW460, Boston, MA 02215, Attn: Dr. Patrick Wen. Michelle served as Director of Regulatory & Compliance Counsel at GE's Electric Insurance Company in Beverly, MA.

My heartfelt condolences to the family. Michelle was certainly heroic in her battle with cancer. We talk about leadership all the time, of all her legacies, her attitude as she lived these last 8.5 years is perhaps her finest example of leadership.
