JONES, Mildred "Millie" Anna LaRue, of Midlothian, Va., passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at the age of 92. She was born August 12, 1925, in Mancelona, Mich. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Dr. John Robert Jones. She is survived by her children, Dr. Lawrence Jones and his wife, Sandra, Susan Coulter and her husband, Joel, Sharon Shortridge and her husband, Doug, Nancy Canter and her husband, John; grandchildren, Katie Jones, Jonathan Jones, Heath Baker, Sarah Whilden, Emily Baker, John Coulter, Logan Shortridge, Will Baker, Brooke Shortridge; and four great-grandchildren. She lived an active life enjoying bridge, bowling, golf with Stonehenge Golf & Country Club and City Women's Golf Association, P.E.O. and Midlothian Women's Club. She attended Bon Air Presbyterian Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and many loving friends. The family will hold a memorial service at Bon Air Presbyterian Church, 9201 W. Huguenot Rd., Richmond, Va. 23235, on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 1 p.m. Feel free to wear pink at the memorial service, as it was Millie's favorite color. Reception to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation and Prevention of Blindness Society.
