M. Irene Tanner, 86, formerly of Wichita, passed away on March 13, 2017. Irene was born on March 7, 1931 in Lamar, Arkansas, the daughter of William and Katie Kreipke. She retired from Beech Aircraft after working from 1974-1990. She was a member of Summit Church. Irene enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing with her family and shopping. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Survivors include daughters Donna (Bob) Britting of Wichita, Debi (David) Stancoff of Derby and Brenda (Rich) Coffman of Piedmont, grandchildren Rusty and Yung Britting, Chelsea (Kyle) Hon, Jesi Kay (Jason) Kindt, Tim (Briana) Robinson, Matthew Robinson and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Lakeview from 6pm to 8pm. A private family burial will be held, followed by a memorial service on Thursday, March 16 at 10:30am at Lakeview. Memorials can be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 7829 E. Rockhill St., #403, Wichita, KS 67206.
