Mildred Lurene Arthur, age 85, passed away Monday November 29, 2010 at Signature Healthcare in Columbia.
She was born in athens, Alabama November 23, 1925, retired from Lee Mar Shirt Factory, her parents were the late Robert Houston and Mildred Evelyn Wakefield Jordan, she was preceded in death by her husband William Allen Arthur, daughter, Betty Bates and grandson, Toby Arthur.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with burial in Gatlin Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 til 8 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.
Survivors are son Bill Arthur of Ardmore, Tn., daughter Sharon Blade of Columbia, Tn., brothers Kenneth (Pete) Jordan of Ardmore, Tn., Houston Jordan of Elkton, Tn., sister Sandra Beal of Jackson, Tn., grandchildren Becky Clifft, Annette Turner, Michael Bates, Buffi Young, eight great grandchildren.
