Mildred Beckwith

Born January 4, 1911, in Cheboygan, MI to DeGolia and Bertha (Wright) Davis, passed away on June 24, 2011 at the age of 100. Proceeding Mildred in death was her husband Clayton; and sons, Richard and Duane. Surviving are grandsons, Michael (Renee) Beckwith, Patrick (Margery) Beckwith, Michael Beckwith of California; granddaughter Susan Grim; 5 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Mildred grew up in the Lansing area, and was married to her husband Clayton for over 70 years. She worked for and retired from Oldsmobile. Her beautiful flower beds gave Mildred much enjoyment. Family came first in her life, with her home always open and welcoming to friends and family. Funeral services will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 with Rev. Wesley B. Emerson officiating. Interment will follow at Deepdale Memorial Gardens in Lansing. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 27 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the DeWitt Chapel. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 West Grand River Avenue, Lansing, MI 48906; or McLaren Visiting Nurse & Hospice, 2316 S. Cedar, Suite 600, Lansing, MI 48910 in memory of Mrs. Beckwith.
