Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday February 12, 2011 at Silver Run Baptist Church for Mrs. Mildred Bond, 89, of Perkinston, Mississippi who left this life to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday February 9, 2011 in the Pearl River County Hospital, Poplarville. Brother Arthur Shaw will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Head Cemetery.
A native of Harrison County, Mississippi she was born August 14, 1921 to Christopher Columbus and Mary Magdalene Woods-Swilley. She was a homemaker and a member of Silver Run Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Hazel Warden of Perkinston, MS, Connie Vee Ladner of Poplarville, MS, and Vera Alston of Gulfport, MS; twenty one grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Thomas Bond, Sr.; three sons, Boyd Thomas Bond, Jr., Shirley Edward Bond, and O.V. Bond; four brothers, and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Stacey Ladner, Freddy Ladner, Robert Ladner, Justin Ladner, Bradley Ladner, and Michael Alston.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday February 12, 2011 at Silver Run Baptist Church, 2865 Silver Run Road, Poplarville, MS 39470.
Mildred will be remembered for her kind, giving heart and the love for her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Silver Run Baptist Church, 2865 Silver Run Road, Poplarville, MS 39470.
