Milton Anton Darilek was born on January 7, 1928, in Moulton, Texas to Herman and Ludmilla Darilek. There he met and married his wife, Ethel Pilat, before making San Antonio his home. He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 11, 2012.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and had a heart as big as Texas. He loved hunting, fishing, and barbequing. His brisket was to die for and loved his beer.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years and his sister Venice Kouba. He is survived by his daughters Donna Shuler and husband Allen of Hondo, Elaine McBrearty and husband Mark of Austin, son Don Darilek and wife Cathy of Abilene, granddaughters Kasey and Shea McBrearty, Chrissie Darilek, Kellie Fischer and husband Brandon, two great-grandchildren Aubrey and Bryson Fischer and brother Rudy Darilek of Houston.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Moulton. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Moulton, Texas on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 11:00 am with Deacon Milburn Kram officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.

So sorry to hear about your dad. I always think about my mom telling me he helped us move to Bulverde, the shortstop days when he played for Pearl and with my dad, and Pearl picnics. The cotton tops are thinking of you.

Donna, Elaine and Don and the entire family Michelle and I just can't tell you how sad we are to hear of the loss of Milton. I remember all the good times we had especially when he would play the trombone or what ever it was you could hear him all over the neighborhood. Our thoughs and prayer are with you all.
