Dear Sheree, Gary, and William,
I had the pleasure of meeting Michael in Fargo, ND as we worked together on a Consulting Assignment. I was saddened to get the news from Lachman Consultants that Michael had passed. He and I enjoyed many hours playing golf after work with others from the same assignment. Michael and I played as teammates together. He was a truly nice man and an accomplished Pharmaceutical Scientist. I am sure you will miss him. My prayers will be with you all. I know from our talks on the course that he was very proud of his family.
Sincerely,
Michael T. Short PhD

Min was one of my favorite people. He was hard working, he always drove the ball straight playing golf, brutally direct, kind, smart and EXTREMELY helpful. He loved his family and that was always his focus. This picture is not too long ago and Min/Sheree was so excited to have (one of many) Chinese food fiestas at Gary's house where I think we had 30-40 friends come by. All of you are like family to me and I know that Min will always look down on us - especially on me - when I slice/dice my golf shots. I know he will say to me: "Kjell - why don't you just hit it straight?" Min - we will always be friends! RIP.

It was hard to believe and accept the tragedy. It happened in my age. You were so a great man and you were the most active person in our HuGuang middle school group Wechat. Let me learn a lot knowledge and helpful things from you. But suddenly you were gone forever. How could I accept that? I was speechless and miss you

Dear Sheree, I was very shocked to hear that Min passed away. Min and I were good friends when we were in Shanghai Huguang Middle School in early 1970s. When I moved from the southern city Xiamen to Shanghai in 1972, Min was the first person I talked with in the class. He was very friendly and helped me a lot to survive in the new school. We spent quite a lot of time both in the class and after school. He was great in playing pingpong at that time, and I did learn quite a few things from him. The last time I saw him was in the middle of 80s when we were both in Shanghai Qian Jin School to prepare for TOEFL and GRE. We talked about our plan to study abroad, and he was so optimistic about his future at that time. After so many years, I finally heard from him again earlier this year, and we talked about meeting each other since we are living in the same state now. I am really sorry that we never made that meeting happen, since it was so sudden that he passed away. Min will be greatly missed. Please take good care of yourself.

Dear Sheree, Gary and William, please accept my and my wife's heartfelt condolences. We are very sorry about Michael's passing. Michael and I went to the same high school in Shanghai. I did not know Michael then because there were about 900 students in that class-year. The first time I spoke to Michael was on 8/1-2/1977 in the chicken farm he (and my wife) worked. (It was a special date in my life because I met my future wife there on that day) Michael was very friendly, enthusiastic and full of energy. We had lunch together. It was not until recently when I became aware of all of his accomplishments since, through wechat and a mutual classmate. I thought we would meet again. We will miss him very much. Please take care.

Dear Sheree:
When I heard the news, I was incredibly shocked. We never really think that those so near to us will really pass, so I know this must be especially hard on you and I can't imagine what you're going through. The sting of pain will lesson over time. That's how the grief process works. Please remember that you don't have to grieve alone. Your family and friends are always by your side during this difficult time. My deepest condolences.
Warmly,
Lulu Huang from Washington DC
