Mina Ash passed away peacefully on June 12,2017. Born and raised in Union, NJ, she raised her family in Port Reading, NJ for 30 years before retiring in Little Egg Harbor, NJ in 2003. Preceeded in death by her beloved parents Rosetta Nicholson Murphy and James Raymond; Mina leaves behind her beloved husband of 55 years, William Ash; her beloved daughter, Colleen Ash-Merendino and son in law, Anthony Merendino; as well as her "beautiful baby boy" grandson, Joseph Merendino, her brother, James Murphy Jr.; and his wonderful wife, Linnea. Mina will also be mourned by many cousins from around the country especially, Sarah Jane Plimpton Noll. A visitation will be at 11am on Friday, June 16 at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ, followed by a Funeral Service at St. Luke & All Saints Episcopal Church 398 Chestnut St, Union, NJ. An entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park, in Union will follow. The family would like to take the time to thank Mina's wonderful personal aids from Home Instead who cared for her over the past 2 years, as well as the excellent and loving team of nurses and aides with Holy Redeemer Hospice.

Mina was always the one to make sure the family stayed connected. We made our telephone calls to each other a couple of times a year to catch up on what was happening with us and our families.
Thanks Mina for showing you cared. I'll miss those calls.
