Mitzi Greene Stephens, age 84, was taken to be with the Lord on January 8, 2018. She retired from the eye doctors of Campbell, Patterson, and McCoy where she worked in the dispensary. Mitzi graduated from Old Knoxville High School and a longtime member of South Knoxville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Stella Greene; brothers, Ray and Bobby Greene; and her faithful dog, Toby. Mitzi married the love of her life, Shirley Stephens and became a military wife traveling the world. She is also survived by her step-son, Danny Stephens; niece and nephew, David and Debbie Greene; and her great nephews, Ty and Sam Greene. The family would like to thank the Right at Home Healthcare for providing great care at home, especially Dee Dee and Margie. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, with a graveside to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
