I have know Monica for almost 30 plus yrs...She will be missed by many. But I know in my heart she is in a better place now and will get to see her Grandparents whom she loved very much. And her brother Mark who I loved very much and so did Monica
Tell him for me Monica that I think about him all the time and now you guys will be together. Monica had a very strong belief in the church and god. I would always drink wine with her when I visited her and her family in Waldorf. You will be missed by MANY..Lori

To the Myers family at times like these it is only God who can speak the comforting words that will calm your spirit. Just cast your cares upon Him and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Monica was my special friend and always smiled. She and I worked together in the same Bureau at the Department of State. I will miss her so much. She was very kind and had a caring spirit. She loved her family so much.

My short time knowing Monica will not easily be forgotten. Even during her weakness, I could see the strength of a determined, caring and kind woman. For those who missed crossing her path, may you one day. To Nicks subs, boxed wine and short chats, Monica, I miss you!

Monica's passing was a shock to me. She and I rode the commuter bus together. She was a special friend and colleague. My condolences to her family. Will truly miss her. Rest in Peace Monica.

Monica was a a light, not a small one but like a spotlight. She was funny, caring, and could always find that something good in everyone. She was my bestest ever friend. We partied and danced and sang together. We even dieted together. Then we would go eat Jelly donuts because we said one day was enough diet to allow us something good. Ann and Jeff I am so sorry for your loss. I think about her everyday.

Monica's passing brings great sadness but also fond and lasting memories of a kind, determined, dedicated and talented woman. I had the pleasure of working with Monica for many of the years she spent at the State Department. Whether she was reminding a senior officer not to read classified material in public, or teaching the responsible authorities how to retire official records properly, or simply doing her job each day, Monica was a major contributor and a joy to work beside every day.
To her family, I offer my deepest condolences and the assurance that Monica left with us much that we all treasure.

Ann and family,
Monica was such a constant and special part of our lives here at work. I don't know that we have ever fully recovered from her retirement! She was always kind (but kept us in line), understanding, and diligent. Please know we are thinking of you during this time.

Life is fleeting, before we know it we're out of time to say so many things of meaning to people who've meant so much to us. You are loved, you will be missed. My sorrow and prayers go to her family.
