Morris Donald Anderson, 58, of 3500 1st Ave. N., the owner/operator of Anderson Bonding Co., died of natural causes Saturday at his home on Canyon Ferry Lake.
His funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 this evening at O'Connor Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Becky Anderson of Great Falls; son Dylan Anderson of Great Falls; sister Barbara Lourdes of Washington state; several nieces and nephews; and his pet, "Freckles The Cat."
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marian Anderson.
Morrie was born March 26, 1952, in Great Falls. He attended Catholic schools in Great Falls, graduating from Great Falls High in 1970.
Morrie purchased the Frankenstein Bar when he was 18 years old. He was the youngest bar owner in the state of Montana at that time. He later owned and operated the Pacific Bar until the building was condemned in 1978. In 1979, Morrie built the Hide Out Lounge, which he owned and operated until 2006. In the early 1990s, he took over the family business, Anderson Bonding Co., and ran it until his death.
Morrie loved spending time with his family and friends at their home on Canyon Ferry Lake. He also enjoyed riding horses. Most of all, he loved watching his son play hockey and grow into a fine young man.
Memorials are suggested to the Great Falls Amateur Hockey Association, PO Box 507, Great Falls, MT 59403.
